01 How often do I need to requalify?

Requalification is required every time you renew your Firearm Control Card (FCC) a/k/a Tan Card to demonstrate proficiency with the firearm you are licensed to carry.

02 What do I need to bring to the session?

Please bring your firearm(s), appropriate ammunition, your FOID Card, government issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport), eye protection, and ear protection. Specific requirements will be provided upon scheduling.

03 Will I receive a certificate?

Once you successfully requalify, you will receive a Certification of Completion of Firearms Training, IDFPR Form IL486-1138 that you will be able to send together with your FFC Renewal Application.
